Cheesy “Green Chile Twist Appetizer” where Whipped Feta Dip meets Easy Dough

Green chile meets whipped feta dip in an easy quick dough (2 ingredients).  You can make it Gluten-free or Vegan – options below! Green Chile Twist Appetizers are such a great appetizer, simple healthy ingredients, very loved by all and is a delicious for any occasion including St. Patty’s party, New Years, summer party, birthday, etc. This recipe can be gluten free substituting Bob’s Mill All-Purpose gluten free.

MAKING THIS VEGAN!  Green Chile Twist Appetizer!

To make this vegan or a new way to make the Whipped Feta Dip – use Cashew Cheese in place of plain yogurt. It’s super tasty in this recipe.

To make the dough – use a alternative yogurt source. To make it thicker consistency like Greek yogurt – strain it. 

Serve this with other appetizers by itself, it really doesn’t need anything else – or serve with Parsley Garlic Dip.

How to store Green Chile Twist Appetizer:

Can be made ahead best 3 days ahead, up to 5 days. Stored in fridge.

How to add the Feta Dip to the Easy Dough

Roll out Pizza Dough and add the Feta Dip to one side.

Then fold it like below. Cut into stripes then twist gently. See video at bottom of page to see How TO DO! 

Roll out the dough! with extra flour.

Place the feta dip on one side then fold.

Green Chile Whipped Feta in an actual TWIST!
St. Patrick's or any time Easy Appetizer that is so good – especially if you like Green Chiles!
Combination of easy recipes : Yogurt-Flour dough (2 ingredient) + Whipped Feta dip with green chile!

Equipment

  • 1 Food Processor or Blender

Ingredients
  

Make 1/2 the recipe of the 2 ingredient pizza dough

  • 1 cup flour or gluten free flour
  • 3/4 cup Greek Yogurt or alternative plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Greek Yogurt or alternative plain yogurt
  • 1/2 tbsp baking powder

Chile Whipped Feta – in food processor

  • 1/2 cup cashew cheese Or use Greek Plain Yogurt
  • 80 g feta
  • 2 tbsp green chiles (more if you like it hot!) Hatch Green Chiles in a can (used half, you definitely can use more!)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Mix Dough in medium bowl.
  • Roll out dough as shown in pictures above. Put Whipped Feta with Chile on half of the dough. Fold dough as pictures above. Then slice into approximately 3-4 inch length by 1 inch (8 cm by 2.5 cm). The ends should be sealed by the slicing.  If not pinch to close sides. Then gently twist twice. Keep the goodness in.
  • Bake at 350 for 20-25 min – golden brown, little darker on edges
