How to store Ghost Gone Bananas:
Best eaten right away – or store in a closed air-tight container in the fridge but the bananas will brown. Toss or spray bananas in lemon juice gently after bananas are sliced in half both ways (to make four ghost) to decrease browning – if not eating them within 20 minutes.
The Browning of peeled bananas is a “chemical reaction called enzymatic browning, where enzymes like polyphenol oxidase interact with oxygen in the air to create brown pigments.” (referenced the internet).

How to make Ghost Gone Bananas foolproof?
- Eat within 20 minutes
- If eating after 20 minutes – spray or gently rub with lemon juice on a) peeled banana – b) or slice the banana in half both ways then apply lemon juice.
- Let lemon juice dry then make your bananas come to life by animating them with dark chocolate for eyes and mouth.

Ghost Gone Bananas!!! 🍌 🍌
Ingredients
- bananas 1 banana = 4 ghost
- dark chocolate melt double boiler or microwave
- lemon juice if sitting out for more than 20 minutes
Instructions
- Melt chocolate using double boiler or 30 sec then 15 sec intervals in microwave – stir and don't overcook.
- Cut bananas vertically and horizontal, You should have four pieces. Or just do two ghost by cutting the banana horizontally (in half) as shown in the boat on the picture.
- You can apply lemon juice if the ghosts are sitting out for more then 20 minutes.
- You can cut the jagged line along the straight bottom or leave as a straight line.
- Put melted chocolate in icing piping bag or use a ziploc and cut a small hole in one corner.
- Create eggs and mouth is optional. BOO!! ENJOY!!
